Brandon Thomas

Brandon is responsible for all aspects of PMC's investment management and research capabilities. Primary among these responsibilities is development of PMC's investment policy, implementation of the firm's investment management and research offerings, alternative investment strategies and platform and new investment product development. Brandon is also a member of Envestnet's Investment Committee. Prior to joining PMC, Brandon was Vice President and Director, Equity Funds for The John Nuveen Company, where he was responsible for managing the firm's equity mutual fund activities and served on the firm's New Products Committee. Previously, he was a portfolio manager with Roberts, Glore & Co., a Chicago-based money manager, and started his career as a securities analyst with a Wall Street investment management firm.
Brandon is a graduate of Brown University and holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a JD from DePaul University.
Donald Frerichs, CFA
Senior Vice President, Director of Mutual Funds

Don serves as the lead Portfolio Manager for the firm’s discretionary managed mutual fund programs and is also responsible for developing PMC’s asset allocation methodology. He is also a member of Envestnet’s Investment Committee and has been with Portfolio Management Consultants since 1993, prior to its merger with Envestnet. From 1989 until 1993, Don was with IPC, Inc., a California financial planning firm where he was a financial analyst.
Don holds a B.S. in Finance from California State University, Eastbay and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Brett Bennett, CFA

Brett is responsible for managing the research and due diligence initiatives for all investment products approved on the Envestnet platform and has been with the firm since June 2002. Brett is also a member of Envestnet’s Investment Committee. Prior to joining PMC, he worked for Charles Schwab where he was an Investment Specialist for several years. He was responsible for analyzing clients’ portfolios, designing investment strategies and making recommendations to best implement the most effective and appropriate investment strategy. Investment products covered were mutual funds (equity and fixed income), common stock, preferred stock, bonds and REITS. Prior to his work with Schwab, he worked as a mutual fund trader with First Trust, Inc.
Brett has a B.S. in Finance (Cum Laude) from Bentley College in Waltham, MA and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Brooks Friederich
Associate Vice President, Senior Investment Analyst

Brooks is responsible for performing all due diligence of large cap growth and mid cap products approved on the Envestnet platform. Prior to joining PMC in February 2008, Brooks was with Pitney Bowes, Inc., where he assisted in the management of the firm’s pension fund and other retirement assets by performing investment manager due diligence and research.
Brooks has a B.S. in Finance from the University of South Dakota.
Kevin Hawkins
Associate Vice President, Senior Investment Analyst

Kevin is responsible for performing all due diligence of small cap and REIT products approved on the Envestnet platform. Kevin also serves as the lead analyst of REIT products. Prior to joining PMC, Kevin spent five years with Cedarstone Partners as a Manager of Business Operations and Staff Accountant. Kevin was responsible for financial operations of over twenty non-profit organizations, in addition to analytical reporting, grant administration and technology integration for family offices and private foundations.
Kevin has a B.S. in Economics and Finance from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI.
Paul Meeks
Vice President, Senior Investment Analyst

Paul is responsible for performing due diligence on all fixed income products approved on the Envestnet platform. Prior to joining PMC, Paul spent seven years with Merrill Lynch where he was head of due diligence for all fixed income products for the Retirement Group. Paul also met with institutional clients to provide them with research on their retirement plan investment menu. Prior to Merrill Lynch, Paul spent two years working as a Financial Analyst with the Denver Employees Retirement Plan where he was responsible for monitoring the Plan’s separately managed accounts and presenting a monthly review of each manager to the retirement board.
Paul has a B.S. in Finance from the University of Colorado at Boulder and holds an MBA in Investment Management from the University of Colorado at Denver. He holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses.
Michael Sowa
Vice President, Senior Investment Analyst

Michael is responsible for performing due diligence on all international and global products approved on the Envestnet platform and has been with the firm since December 2007. Prior to joining PMC, he worked for National Planning Holdings, an independent broker-dealer and division of Jackson National Life Insurance Company. There, Michael was responsible for performing due diligence on approved mutual funds and alternative investment products, and served as lead analyst for selection of international managers for the firm's recommended list. Prior to his work at National Planning Holdings, Michael was an analyst at Lipper, Inc., responsible for providing portfolio analytics to external clients.
Michael holds a B.S. from American International College (Magna Cum Laude) and a Masters in Finance & Investments from the University of Edinburgh in the United Kingdom. Michael is also a Level II candidate for the Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designations.
